Sorry - the first email was sent before I was finished typing. Anyways, I would like to find out how old my boat really is. Serial (Registration) #5F8901. I think it must be close to 60 years old.
Its been in the family as far back as I can remember. It used to have twin 50 evinrudes on it and still has the police siren on it. My father bought it from George so many years ago and he was told it was a test model and only a few of them were ever built. It has been the most sturdy reliable boat that has outlasted all other boats we have had. A few rivets have been put in over the years and a new transom and rear seats but that is the extent of the repairs. It seats 8 people comfortably . It has also been great for slalom skiing because it has such a little wake. Lots of room for fishing and camping Gear too. They truly dont make them like they used to. Cleaning it has been a matter of a box of sos pads on the bottom of it at a beach. If you can tell me the year of it and any other details I'd appreciate it. Thanks. |

Editor's note: Notice the windshield wiper, fixed front windows, sliding side windows, 1960 style bow light and gas tank opening on bow deck (a real first) |
